Quality & Environment
Certified,
then delivered.
Quality and the protection of the environment are key elements of Fundilusa's business strategy. Not a final inspection, but a system that runs from the order to the quay.
The certificate
ISO 9001, issued by Bureau Veritas.
Fundilusa has been certified to ISO 9001 by Bureau Veritas under certificate number PT006500, confirming the commitment to quality across all construction and industrial processes. The group has held the standard since 1999.

Compliance
Reduce the environmental footprint of our factory on both a local and a global scale, and comply with environmental legislation and other applicable requirements.
Controls
Checked at every stage, not just at the end.
Traceability runs from the moment an order is received until it leaves the works.
Chemical analysis
Every melt has its material monitored in the furnace through chemical analysis and degassing, strictly meeting the specification of each alloy.
Mechanical testing
Tensile-strength and impact tests confirm the cast material performs to the class requirement before machining begins.
Dimensional control
3D dimensional control files are produced by the engineering department and used to measure patterns and finished surfaces.
Non-destructive testing
Pressure testing, dye-penetrant inspection and ultrasonic testing are available in-house, applied to hubs and critical castings.
Solidification simulation
Feed and solidification simulation software is run before the pour on complex geometries, so soundness is engineered in rather than inspected for.
Dynamic balancing
Two balancing machines, of 1 and 30 tons, finish the assembly before surface protection and despatch.
Classification societies
Every product is classified before delivery. The society is matched to the vessel's class requirement.
